This is after added the Quad Core Opteron, Q9550 and there is a AMD 3400+ 9800GTX+ running cuda. Two of my systems are down right now, Q6600+CUDA, P4HT+ Cudas.

Hopefully everything will fine soon, and more upgrades will comes. Some Q9550 overclocking soon, when my Foxconn ELA 775 gets here.

Trying for 5,000,000 Points by Mid-July.

She lives, My new Quad Core Opteron

After all the hard of getting this system to work, I finally got it.
I had to flash the bios using the dual core opteron to get it to support quad core opterons. And here it is.

Opteron 2347HE (1.9ghz)x2
4x1GB Kingston DDR2 667 ECC Reg
Western Digital 500GB Raid Edition
Tyan S2912 Rev E
Windows 7

If all goes well, this will be another seti system.

Perc6i Nightmare
I am trying to Install Windows 7, Windows 2008, or Windows XP on my New NAS System PC.
Specs Intel Pentium Dual Core 2GHZ
Gskill 4GB DDR2
Asus P5KPL-VM MATX Motherboard
Dell PERC6i (8xWestern Digital 1TB Raid Edition Hard Drives in RAID6)
Silicon Image 3512 PCI SATA Controller
Western Digital 500GB Raid Edition Boot Drive
I am trying to install Windows XP on this system. First install, XP wont see my Hard Drives, I quickly ran NLITE to integrate raid and sata drivers. On first boot I get BSOD. Now lets try Windows 2008 R2 RC 2, this OS boot fine, sees my PERC6i array, but wont see my Boot drive. If I take out the Perc6i and install the OS on Boot Drive while plugged into the motherboard controller it boots fine, but when re install PERC6i the system says no boot device. Next my options are Install using the motherboard sata controller, then install the Silicon Image drivers, install PERC6i drivers, and move the boot drive to Silicon Image controller. This seems to have worked fine. Exact same thing happens with Windows 7.
Next I am trying to integrate the raid and sata drivers using Vlite into Windows 2008 install DVD.

Edit. Vlite wont work. I integrated the Silicon Image and Perc drivers using Nlite to XP cd, the XP boots sees drive formats and then goes from there. On first reboot wont boot, no system drive.
I tried Windows 7, and selected insert drivers, I inserted usb with Silicon Image drivers and seers my drive now, but fails to install.
Right now, my only solution, unplug, Perc6i and Silicon Image install Windows 7 using onboard sata, next install Silicon image card back, install drivers, and move the boot drive to Silicon Image card. Last install Perc6i.Lets hope this works.

This month I am moving slowly with my credits. The month is half way and only done 300,000 credits on seti. I am hoping to add my Quad Core Opteron system soon. Upgrade one of my current seti systems to a newly orders Q9550, and bring some Nvida GPUS back up.

I am so close, hopefully I can get to 4 million by this weekend end.

Opteron Quad Core build - Sadness :(

I got all my parts for the Quad Core Opteron build. Got my CPUS, Motherboard, Power supply, all I need need. Really sad part I didnt read properly on ebay auction stating the ram I own was DDR2 ECC FB DIMM not DDR2 ECC. Due to this error I made I cannot complete my build. I now had to order Kingston DDR2 ECC 2GB (2x1GB) x2 kits from NCIX. They shipped in less then one day. Cant wait to get them. I hope real soon.

My other Opteron 252x2 I got off ebay, they motherboard is DOA, cannot use it either, sadness. I contacted the seller, and was told a new board would get shipped to me.

Still waiting for my KVM switch, which NCIX as it back ordered.
