HP Laptop (one Year Update)

The HP Laptop I have purchased over a year go, is still a great laptop. Runs really fast and stable. I upgrade to 4GB of ram, (but XP only sees 3GB). The major change done, is go from Vista to XP. Vista even after 1 year and with service pack1 was still unstable and a really unstable. XP was easy to install, only problem is finding all the right drivers. Now I was able to find all the drivers and all the hardware works great, including the buildin camera.

XP with Service Pack3 will rule on, till possibly Windows 7. Vista is a big skip

A new king; Intel Q9550 QUAD CORE

I just received my new Intel Q9550, Quad Core

Very nice Quad Core CPU with 12mb cache, sse4 instructions and based on 45nm. This cpu is clocked at 2.83ghz with a multiplier of 8.5. I hope to achieve at least [8x450] 3.6ghz, or more. Higher FSB is always welcome. Will be using the same setup as the E6750. (Asus P5Q pro, OCZ reaper 2GB [1150] and watercooling (Swiftech APOGEE DRIVE CPU Water Block, Swiftech MCRES-MICRO Clear HI-FLOW Water Cooling Reservoir, Triple 120mm Swiftech Radiator, 6 Yate Loons for Push and Pull)

Lets see this what this CPU can do.

Watercooling UP

I got my watercooling up and running. Had some trouble at first (I had to drain the system twice). Currently running with it;

ASUS P5Q PRO INTEL E6750 [7X500] OCZ REAPER 2GB [1186] WD 500GB WATER COOLED Swiftech APOGEE DRIVE CPU Water Block, Swiftech MCRES-MICRO Clear HI-FLOW Water Cooling Reservoir, Triple 120mm Swiftech Radiator, 6 Yate Loons for Push and Pull

Water Cooling Coming

Finally I am ready to go to watercooling. I've ordered

Swiftech APOGEE DRIVE CPU Water Block: The APOGEE DRIVE is a very unique product in that it includes a CPU water block as well as a very high quality pump. It also flows very freely, which gives the end-user the option to use multiple blocks (ie CPU, VGA, and Chipset) in the same water loop.

Triple 120mm Swiftech Radiator: The radiator dissipates the heat captured by the water into the air. The efficiency of Swiftech's MCR320 radiators is well optimized for optimal performance without excess noise.

Swiftech MCB-120 "Radbox": The Radbox is a convenient way to externally mount your radiator anywhere a rear fan would mount on the back of your case.(assuming enough clearance - please see the product description for the included radiator for dimensions)

Pump: The pump is integrated on the CPU block.

Yate Loon Ball Bearing 120mm fans: With excellent static pressure and quiet operation, Yate Loon fans are the number one choice of water cooling enthusiasts. These Yate Loon D12SB-12 are an excellent match for the MCR320.

Polypropylene T-line: T-lines are tidy, easy to install, and flow very well even when compared to a reservoir. The T-line is also inexpensive which allows this kit to perform with the best while keeping the price low.

Clearflex 3/8" thick wall(10ft): It never pays to use cheap tubing. Cheap tubing can kink when going around tight bends, reducing flow and hurting performance.

Primochill PC Pure : Primochill PC Pure is a performance oriented non-conductive coolant. That means that you should be protected against minor spills when you're setting up your system. In the event that you do get fluid on your hardware, dry it off, clean it with 99% rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely before attempting to power it on. There's some cool UV dye in the syringe for this stuff too :)

Magicool UV Zip Ties: Using inexpensive zip ties to secure tubing is an aesthetically appealing and effective way to ensure that no water leaks. Pull tight one zip tie on each barb.

I cant wait to receive it, and set it up.
